Position Overview Physical Therapist Assistant – Full‑time, Outpatient Therapy, Bronson Lakeview Hospital (Paw Paw, Michigan). Sign‑on bonus available. Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties: Follow plan of care, provide direct patient care (physical, electrical, mechanical, heat treatments), conduct individual and group therapy, facilitate patient skill acquisition, participate in interdisciplinary team discussions, develop programs, serve as resource person, provide in‑services, cross‑train/coverage as needed. Administration Duties: Document in EHR per compliance timelines, communicate documentation limitations, maintain accurate records, serve on committees/task forces, participate in process improvement, demonstrate time‑management skills, supervise Rehab Clinical Assistant, PTA students, and volunteers. Qualifications & Requirements Graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant Program. Preferred: Prior Physical Therapist Assistant experience. Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in good standing in Michigan. Basic BLS certification required within 3 months of hire. Current driver’s license in Michigan and ability to use a vehicle for business (proof of insurance required). Basic PC/mobile word‑processing and typing skills. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with patients, visitors, and care team. Social sensitivity and effective communication skills. High level of interpersonal skills to handle delicate patient care matters. Capacity to stand/walk, lift light‑weight objects, handle fatigue. Other Information Physical therapist assistant is expected to maintain and upgrade competencies based on population served and advances in healthcare.
