Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide optimal patient care utilizing the nursing process within a fast-paced telemetry unit. The patient population includes those with conditions such as CHF, Alcohol Withdrawal, NSTEMI’s, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, and post-procedural patients related to pacemakers, ablations, cath lab, and OHS once downgraded from ICU.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient needs and outcomes throughout the care continuum.
• Administer and monitor medications, including non-titratable cardiac medication drips such as Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitro.
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive treatment plans.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment and ongoing care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and clinical interventions.

Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years of telemetry experience is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Must have a valid NV RN license prior to start.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required.
