Market Leader, Business Cards & Payments (NorCal & Oregon) The Market Leader role leads a team of sellers in the Northern California & Oregon region, responsible for recruiting, onboarding, training, and driving growth and profitability. Responsibilities Deliver superior growth and profitability by meeting or exceeding targets in purchase volume, new account acquisition, account penetration, profit, cost, and productivity while providing an outstanding customer and associate experience. Provide sales leadership, direction, and program management within the team. Build a dynamic sales culture that compliments the broader Field strategy and assists the team in achieving account acquisition and purchase volume goals. Participate in strategic and tactical planning with the National Sales extended leadership team to drive growth, market share, revenue, cross‑sell, sales force growth and productivity, targeted market penetration, customer retention, and profit goals. Ensure all customer and prospect interactions comply with Capital One legal, compliance, and regulatory guidelines. Champion effective partnerships with headquarters‑based support teams and local Retail and Small Business banking and Commercial bank relationships throughout the market. Select, orientate, train, coach, develop, motivate, and collaborate with the team of Relationship Managers. Partner with other Local Market Leaders to ensure consistent execution of sales strategies. Champion the voice of client and associate feedback to support and inform a culture of continuous improvement. Maintain a deep passion for coaching and developing front‑line sales professionals. Qualifications Basic Qualifications At least 5 years of outside business‑to‑business sales experience. At least 3 years of sales management experience or peer coaching experience. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing or Business Management. 6+ years of outside customer sales experience. 5+ years of experience in a sales leadership role. 5+ years of portfolio management experience. 3+ years of experience partnering with small businesses. 3+ years of financial industry experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Proficiency in Salesforce.com. Salary and Compensation Sales Territory: $145,000 - $180,000 for Sr Manager, Local Market. Candidates hired to work in other locations will receive the applicable pay range for that location. The role is also eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(s) and/or long‑term incentives (LTI).
