Travel Surgical Technologist

American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist with 3+ years of OR experience and Level I or II trauma level experience for a position in a large hospital surgical services department.

Job Details

• General OR setting within a 45-OR, Level I Trauma Center,
• Day shift, 3x12 hours schedule (6:45am-7:15pm) with occasional float to 0845 and 1045 starts,
• Weekday assignments vary weekly based on staffing needs across Sunday-Saturday,
• Must work 3 night shifts per assignment,
• Weekend shifts required per unit needs,
• On-call requirement of up to 3 call shifts within an 8-week schedule period,
• Float to like units within scope required to meet facility needs,

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years overall OR experience required,
• Level I or Level II trauma level experience required (hardstop),
• At least 1 completed travel assignment required,
• BLS certification required,
• DORA certification required,
• License required if applicable,
• Experience in gynecology, plastics, neurosurgery, trauma, general surgery, urology, and ENT procedures preferred,

Additional Information

• Support surgical procedures across a wide range of specialties including gynecology, plastics, neurosurgery, trauma, general surgery, urology, and ENT,
• Work within a Level I Trauma Center environment supporting high-acuity trauma cases such as gunshot/stab wounds, MVAs, and amputations,
• Scrubs provided,
• Completion of all facility-specific training modules required within the first week of assignment,
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position,
• Candidates previously employed by the facility or its affiliates may be subject to eligibility restrictions,
• Returning travelers who completed a full year on assignment previously must wait at least one year before rebooking,
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods during high-demand times,
• Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility may be eligible for a local bill rate
