Purpose of the role:

Support the VP Finance (Americas) in steering and controlling the business by contributing to group projects, collaborating with financial stakeholders and local finance supervisors, and executing entity-specific projects. The role is responsible for all financial matters for one or two smaller international entities within the Americas. This position is intended for an early-career finance professional with strong ambition to grow and develop. The individual will gain broad exposure to a wide range of financial projects, duties, and responsibilities, with mentoring from the VP Finance (Americas) and support from other senior professionals to encourage rapid learning and development. This position can be in office at one of our repair stations located in Houston, Dallas, Phoenix, Atlanta or Miami.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

Support the VP Finance (Americas) in steering and controlling the business:

• Support the VP Finance (Americas) in business steering and control activities. The role is an active member of the Americas finance team and the broader SK AeroSafety Group finance organization.
• Develop and maintain reporting that gives management and staff clearer insight into business performance, including sales, production, margin analysis, product development, and customer development.
• Support the VP Finance (Americas) in restructuring, improving, and streamlining business and financial processes across the organizations.
• Temporarily assume financial responsibility for local entities when local finance supervisors are absent due to leave or illness.
• Assist the VP Finance (Americas) with larger investment and business proposals, including capital expenditures, business expansion, capability development, and equipment replacement.
• Support specific financial accounting and reconciliation projects within Americas entities and, where applicable, the Shared Service Center.

Collaborate with and support the broader Americas finance organization:

• Build strong professional relationships with local Americas Finance Supervisors to improve collaboration across the region and support specific Americas Corporate Control projects.
• Develop effective working relationships with the financial Shared Service Center to improve collaboration and financial accounting processes between the SSC and Americas finance departments, while supporting specific Americas SSC projects.
• Build productive relationships with Corporate Control to strengthen collaboration with Americas finance departments and support specific Americas Corporate Control projects.
• Prepare financial and legal reporting for one or two smaller entities in the Americas
• Deliver periodic financial reports, including:
  • Monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cost details.
  • Forecast reports, prepared twice per year.
  • Annual operational plans and budgets.
• Prepare ad hoc reports that support effective business management, including:
  • Work-in-progress reports to help production prioritize and monitor workload.
  • TAT reports to support production performance reviews and process improvement.
• Oversee legal reporting requirements, including:
  • Supervise the audit process and preparation of annual accounts.
  • Supervise and ensure compliance with tax-related reporting requirements.

ERP/IT and process improvement:

• Oversee processes within the integrated ERP system.
• Resolve system-related issues across all areas of the business.
• Provide training where recurring issues arise or new modules are implemented.
• Identify opportunities to automate business processes and expand current IT systems.
• Develop process improvements that increase cost efficiency, strengthen information insights, and improve performance.
• Participate in group business reporting projects and requests.
• Contribute, where appropriate, to expanding and improving the use of Power BI reporting.
• Support the distribution, maintenance, and adoption of automated reports across the group.

Profile of the candidate – required skills:

• 2+ years of experience working in a financial role.
• BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong Microsoft office skills, particularly Excel.
• (reporting, formulae, pivot tables, PBI etc.).
• Experience with integrated ERP systems.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proactive and confident.
• Self-driven and self-motivated.

This role has broad responsibilities across the organization and requires a positive drive to engage others. Because the position involves limited direct supervision; the individual must be self-motivated and able to work independently.

This role requires regular interaction with production departments and other management team members. The Finance Supervisor must be able to represent and protect the company’s financial interests.
