Job Description

Role Overview:
Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in a search for a Credit Analyst to join a leading manufacturer of food, beverage, and specialty packaging serving customers across foodservice, restaurant delivery and carryout, food processing, grocery and retail, and industrial industries.
The Credit Analyst will be responsible for evaluating new and existing customers, reviewing credit applications, performing credit due diligence, and making credit recommendations. This is an excellent opportunity for a credit professional who enjoys analyzing financial and credit information, making independent recommendations, and partnering with Sales and Customer Service.

Responsibilities:

• Review incoming credit applications and assess customer creditworthiness
• Analyze credit information to determine whether customers should receive credit terms or cash-in-advance terms
• Make independent credit decisions and provide recommendations for appropriate credit limits, primarily up to $250K
• Support and document the reasoning behind credit recommendations through multiple levels of approval
• Review Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) reports, credit risk monitoring tools, online research, and other customer background information
• Perform credit due diligence to identify potential risks before extending credit
• Become familiar with SAP requirements and processes related to new customer setup and credit information
• Review customer master data and ensure required credit-related information is properly maintained
• Manage credit applications received through a shared email inbox
• Partner with Sales and Customer Service to obtain missing information and documentation
• Request additional financial or customer documentation when needed
• Communicate with internal teams regarding credit requirements, customer information, and application status
• Monitor customer credit arrangements and special credit privileges
• Potentially assume collections responsibilities over time based on performance and business needs
• Support assigned customer accounts and assist with ongoing credit management
• Participate in additional credit and accounts receivable projects as needed

• 3+ years of previous Credit Analyst experience
• Previous SAP experience required
• Strong understanding of credit analysis and credit evaluation processes
• Ability to analyze credit reports and other financial/customer information
• Strong decision-making skills with the ability to make and support independent credit recommendations
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform thorough credit due diligence
• Strong communication and follow-up skills
• Ability to work effectively with Sales, Customer Service, and other internal teams
