Business Applications Manager

Business Applications Manager | Location: North Kingstown, RI | Contract

The Business Applications Manager role focuses on leading the strategy, optimization, and daily management of core business systems within a manufacturing environment. This position bridges IT and business operations, emphasizing system reliability, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to support enterprise applications such as ERP and Salesforce.

Key Responsibilities

• Owns and manages core business systems, including ERP and Salesforce, ensuring optimal functionality and performance.
• Configures, maintains, and enhances system features to meet evolving business needs.
• Ensures data integrity, system reliability, and alignment with operational requirements.
• Collaborates with stakeholders across departments to gather requirements and identify opportunities for system improvements.
• Translates operational processes into scalable technology solutions that improve efficiency and data visibility.
• Leads and executes cross-functional projects related to system implementation, upgrades, and enhancements.
• Contributes to long-term applications strategy, including ERP evaluation, selection, and migration planning.
• Develops and supports reporting tools, dashboards, and queries to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
• Drives user adoption through training, documentation, and change management initiatives.
• Troubleshoots system issues and provides ongoing support to end users.
• Continuously seeks opportunities to improve user experience and system utilization.

Required Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of experience managing business systems or applications.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
• Strong understanding of business processes in operations, finance, or supply chain.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and stakeholder relationships.
• On-site work environment in North Kingstown, RI.
• W-2 employment status.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting ERP implementations or migrations.
• Familiarity with reporting tools and basic SQL.
• Background in manufacturing, supply chain, or nonprofit sectors.
• Project management certification or formal training.
