About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP, Legal Counsel with a focus on data center leasing to join their dynamic and fast-growing organization. This strategic role is pivotal in providing critical legal guidance on major projects within the advanced digital infrastructure sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the drafting and negotiation of data center leases and service agreements with enterprise customers, advising on deal structuring for complex transactions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support large-scale initiatives. Additionally, the role involves developing scalable legal infrastructure, managing outside counsel, and supporting broader legal operations, including compliance and risk management. Applicants must have a J.D. from an accredited law school, be an active member of the bar in at least one U.S. state, and have a minimum of 10 years' legal experience, with at least 3 years directly related to negotiating large-scale data center lease agreements. The ideal candidate will have a combination of law firm and in-house experience, knowledge of commercial real estate financings, and a strong understanding of compliance and risk management in data center environments. Strong communication skills, good business judgment, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment are essential. The role requires a willingness to travel within the U.S. and offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of shaping the contracting framework for large-scale initiatives.
