Human Resource Generalist

HR GeneralistOur client is looking for a HR Generalist to support Human Resources activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This individual will work closely with plant leadership and employees while providing hands-on support across employee relations, recruiting, benefits, compliance and general HR administration.ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day HR support for hourly and salaried employeesAssist with employee relations, investigations and disciplinary mattersSupport recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding activitiesCoordinate new employee orientationAdminister FMLA, leaves of absence and employee benefit inquiriesMaintain employee records and HR system informationSupport workforce changes including transfers, layoffs and recallsAssist with HR policies, procedures and employee handbook administrationSupport EEO, affirmative action and other employment compliance requirementsCoordinate employee training and development activitiesPrepare recurring HR reports and workforce informationPartner with plant managers and supervisors on employee and HR-related mattersSupport employee engagement programs and plant eventsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred3+ years of Human Resources Generalist or similar HR experienceExperience supporting hourly and salaried employeesStrong employee relations and problem-solving skillsExperience working with HRIS/timekeeping systemsStrong Microsoft Office skillsManufacturing or plant HR experience strongly preferredAbility to work effectively with employees and leadership at all levels
