Registered Nurse - Med/Tele

Location: Reno, NV

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 3x12, Nights

Job Description: The Registered Nurse in this role provides optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process. The incumbent is accountable for individualized patient outcomes over an entire episode of care, delivering comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, as well as their families or caregivers.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
• Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems.
• Coordinate care between other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Provide care in accordance with standards focused on age-specific needs.
• Maintain a scientific knowledge base and engage in ongoing growth and learning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must have 2+ years of Med Surg/Tele experience.
• Prior travel experience of one 13-week assignment is required.
• NV RN license required prior to start.
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS.
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam, including identifying and measuring telemetry rhythm strips.
