Physical Therapist - Day Shift

The Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients, developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans according to the patient's needs and physician direction. Responsible for delegating and directing all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients, the therapist ensures the design of functional treatment programs to facilitate effective return to community activities. This role includes educating patients, families, students, and coworkers while performing various professional duties associated with patient care and program delivery.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Develop appropriate treatment plans and goals focused on progressing patients towards discharge within an established length of stay.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address barriers to discharge, including equipment trialing and home exercise program training.
• Efficiently manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions based on patient care needs.
• Complete medical record documentation in a timely and compliant manner.
• Participate in student program assignments, providing supervision and mentorship.
• Engage in professional development activities and advocacy efforts.
• Adhere to discipline-specific state practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Follow organizational performance improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• Must hold a valid and current State license.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience is required.
• Previous LTACH experience is preferred.

Schedule

This position requires a day shift with a 5x8.0 schedule.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
