What You’ll Do: Assist in developing construction estimates from conceptual designs through detailed plans and specifications. Perform quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam or other on-screen takeoff software. Solicit, organize, and compare subcontractor and vendor proposals. Help prepare bid summaries, scope sheets, cost breakdowns, and supporting documentation. Review drawings and specifications to identify scope requirements, discrepancies, and potential risks. Support the preparation of project RFIs and value engineering ideas. Maintain accurate historical cost data, bid records, and subcontractor information. Collaborate with Estimators, project teams, architects, consultants, and Business Development throughout the Pre-Construction process. Participate in site visits, pre-bid meetings, and bid reviews as needed. What We’re Looking For: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience. Internship or entry-level experience in construction, estimating, engineering, or project management is preferred. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, or a strong interest in developing this skill. Strong attention to detail, organization, analytical thinking, and follow-through. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Bluebeam or on-screen takeoff software is a plus. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. A proactive mindset and eagerness to learn from experienced estimating and operations professionals.
