We are actively seeking 2 Locum Hematology/Oncology Physicians for a high-priority, ongoing need.

Quick Highlights

• Location: Waterloo, IA

• Specialty: Hematology/Oncology

• Start: ASAP

• Coverage Need: Ongoing

• Schedule: Mon-Thurs, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM

• Shifts: Approx. 16 shifts/month

• Availability Requirement: Must be available at least 2 weeks/month

• Weekend Coverage: 1 weekend/month

• Call: 1 weeknight block and 1 weekend/month (phone call only)

Practice Details

• Outpatient-focused Hem/Onc practice

• Limited inpatient responsibilities at MercyOne Cedar Falls Medical Center

• Hospitalists admit all patients

• Inpatient consults are infrequent

• Daily clinic volume: 16-20 patients

• Average hospital census: 0-2 patients

• Adult patient population (18+)

• EMR: Epic

• Teaching opportunities available

Support Staff

• 2 APPs in the practice

• No APP supervision required

• 2 nurses per provider

• Referral and triage nurses

• Dedicated support including lab, social work, dietician, referrals, and reception staff

Services Offered

• Chemotherapy/antineoplastic administration

• Bone marrow biopsies

• IVIG

• Iron infusions

• Phlebotomies

Requirements

Board Certified Hematology & Oncology required

Will consider Board Certified Oncology physicians with strong Hem/Onc experience

Fellowship trained in Hematology & Oncology

Active Iowa license or active IMLC

Clean malpractice/background history

NPDB self-query required at presentation

Experienced physicians preferred, but new grads will be considered
