Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with standard nurse-to-patient ratios
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, including participation in rapid response situations
• Administer medications including insulin and perform telemetry monitoring as required
• Float within scope to like units as needed to meet facility staffing needs
• Participate in on-call availability for low census situations on a PRN basis
• Document all patient care accurately using electronic health record systems

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers considered
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system
• Demonstrated skills in Med/Surg, Telemetry, Insulin administration, and Rapid Response

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Experience in MS/Tele or combined Medical Surgical and Telemetry environments
