Job Description: The staff nurse provides direct care to patients using the nursing process of assessment: planning, implementation, and evaluation, so that the physical, psycho-social, safety, rehabilitative, and learning needs of patients and their families are addressed. This function is performed in association with nursing peers and co-workers, attending physicians, and allied support services. This position is responsible for managing care of assigned patients and directing the activities of the ancillary staff.

Requirements: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, 2 years of ER experience Shift: 3 x 12 Nights, 1900-0730 weekend rotation required, no on call requirement

Patient Diagnoses: We care for all patients who present to our Emergency Department. We are a Level 4 trauma center and a stroke center. It is expected nursing staff will know how to respond to traumas, stroke, and STEMI's and basic medical emergencies.
