The RN in the PACU plays a crucial role in continuously assessing patients, executing physician orders, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout their recovery process.Responsibilities\n \n Patient Assessment (30%): Regularly assesses patient needs and delivers skilled nursing services as outlined in the physician's authorized plan of care, adhering to accepted nursing practice standards.\n Direct Care (30%): Provides hands-on patient care, which includes medication administration, performing treatments, managing call lights, assisting with transfers, and responding to alarms.\n Treatment Evaluation (20%): Evaluates the effectiveness of treatment plans and collaborates with team members to suggest updates and improvements using current information to enhance patient care.\n Order Processing (10%): Accurately processes physician/provider orders and performs assigned treatments in a timely and complete manner.\n Medication Follow-Up (10%): Monitors medication changes and clarifies orders as necessary to ensure optimal patient care.\n Qualifications\n \n Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is required.\n Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.\n Active certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), both from the American Heart Association.\n Schedule Requirements\n Shifts typically begin between 10:00 AM and 11:30 PM, with occasional weekend coverage and on-call responsibilities, primarily one night a week with potential weekend needs.\n \n Wellspring Nurse Source Job ID #38149107.
