What You'll Do

• Perform high-quality MRI scans for diagnostic purposes including abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging
• Utilize advanced imaging techniques such as diffusion, gradient echo, MIP, MRP, surface coils, T1 and T2 imaging, CINE, and image post-processing
• Operate GE and Siemens MRI equipment updating imaging protocols as required
• Collaborate with the medical team to ensure accurate and timely imaging results
• Support the department during storm/hurricane response as part of the team
• Maintain safety standards and patient care excellence throughout all procedures

What You Need

Required:

• Valid ARRT-MR certification and BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years recent hospital MRI experience (no first-time travelers)
• Experience with abdominal, pelvis, head/neck, spine, musculoskeletal imaging, and post-processing techniques

Preferred:

• Experience with chest imaging and image post-processing skills
• Knowledge of EPIC system for documentation and communication

About the Assignment This position is for a dedicated MRI technologist at a well-respected hospital in Wilmington, NC. The role involves performing MRI scans across a diverse patient population, with a focus on thoracic, head, neck, and musculoskeletal imaging. The selected technologist will participate in the hospital's storm response team and support services during emergencies. Orientation is scheduled from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM during the first week.
