Job Description State of the Art Cancer Care McLaren Health System and the Karmanos Cancer Institute are recruiting a Surgical Oncologist to join a robust service line to cover our McLaren Flint and McLaren Macomb Hospitals and their surrounding communities. The selected candidate will step into a dynamic practice with an established patient base while working alongside another board-certified Surgical Oncologist. Additional onsite providers include clinical Hematology Oncologists, Radiation Oncology, Surgical Breast Oncologist, ENT Oncologists and Gynecologic Oncology. The Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute is one of 72 NCI designated sites in the US for Cancer Care. Headquartered in Detroit, Michigan with 16 network sites providing a footprint which covers 46 of Michigan's 83 counties with a catchment area of 6.7 million people. Karmanos includes cancer-specific scientific investigation programs and clinical trials, tumor conference and access to nationally recognized clinical experts leading treatment and research advancement. Facility Highlights McLaren Flint is a 378-bed tertiary teaching facility located in Flint, Michigan, serving the medical needs of residents in greater Genesee County and Mideast Michigan. McLaren Flint is affiliated with Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in its medical residency programs including family practice, internal medicine, general surgery, and orthopedic surgery.
