Time & Labor Analyst

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Time & Labor Analyst.

As a Time & Labor Analyst, you will:

• The Time & Labor Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely timecard management for a multistate workforce.
• This role oversees compliance with federal and state labor requirements, ensures adherence to company timekeeping policies, and partners closely with Government Compliance, Finance, and Payroll to ensure proper posting to the general ledger and accurate data transfer for overtime processing.
• Manage day-to-day time and attendance operations using Oracle Maestro and Deltek Costpoint for a multistate employee population.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage-and-hour laws, including overtime rules, meal/rest break requirements, and other labor regulations.
• Monitor timecard submissions, approvals, exceptions, and edits to ensure timely processing and integrity of data transferred to payroll.
• Conduct routine audits of timecards, schedules, work classifications, pay codes, and exception logs to identify and correct discrepancies.
• Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate data flow for overtime calculations, premium pay, shift differentials, and other wage elements.
• Collaborate with Government Compliance and Finance to ensure proper posting of labor hours and related transactions to the general ledger.
• Configure and maintain timekeeping system rules in Oracle Maestro and Deltek Costpoint, including schedules, pay rules, charge codes, and labor categories.
• Support investigations into potential timekeeping violations or misapplied time and labor policies.
• Produce and analyze time and labor reports to support audits, compliance reviews, and operational leadership.
• Provide training, coaching, and guidance to managers and employees on timekeeping requirements and system navigation.
• Assist with system enhancements, testing, validation, and implementation of new functionalities or regulatory updates.

The ideal candidate will have :

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, HR, or related field preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in time and labor administration, payroll operations, or related functions.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Maestro and/or Deltek Costpoint strongly preferred. Solid understanding of federal and state labor laws and wage-and-hour regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Effective communication and partnership skills across Finance, Payroll, Compliance, and Operations.
• Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with large or complex datasets

Preferred Skills:

• Experience supporting large, multistate workforces.
• Familiarity with government contract compliance or cost accounting environments. Understanding of ledger posting practices and labor cost allocation methodologies.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $45-$50 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
