Opportunity Summary Reporting directly to PAVE Red Hook’s K‑8 Director of Operations, the Family & Community Engagement Coordinator will lead the school’s efforts to build and sustain relationships with student families and the Red Hook community. The role includes marketing and communications efforts, managing external relationships, and planning family‑focused events that strengthen school‑family partnerships. How You’ll Contribute Student Recruitment and Enrollment Develop and manage annual project plans for new student recruitment, lottery enrollment, student re‑enrollment, and new student enrollment. Serve as the school’s representative at community and pre‑K events (some evenings and weekends required). Lead tours of the campus for prospective families and community stakeholders. Canvass neighborhoods to recruit new students. Create recruitment materials and a plan to meet enrollment goals. Community Engagement Develop and implement PAVE’s community engagement strategy with the Executive Director. Develop a community partnerships strategy to grow direct resources for the school. Create and manage new service provider and community partnerships to sponsor or co‑sponsor local events. Manage elected officials and stakeholder outreach. Attend selected community events to build strategic relationships. Support school efforts in family participation and engagement in annual events. Manage and develop the school’s community partnerships and alumni events. Manage the K‑8 Family Advisory Board. Marketing & Communications Build monthly content plans against a comprehensive communications calendar for staff, families, and partners. Maintain the school’s brand identity and produce branded materials for staff and student recruitment. Support administration of the PAVE RH website to ensure consistent messaging and current content. Development Support relationships and communications with donors and maintain an accurate development database. Oversee design and development of marketing materials for development campaigns. Process donations, ensure proper fund coding, and prepare acknowledgment letters. Execute donor strategies, stewardship, and fundraising processes. Identify and serve as point person for relevant grant applications. Family‑Facing School Operations Manage all K‑8 family communication efforts, including social media strategy and distribution. Lead creation and distribution of the monthly family newsletter (PAVE Press). Ensure compliance with student data and file management. Participate in school duties such as front desk coverage and student arrival and dismissal. Plan and execute PAVE family‑focused events: Graduation, Back‑to‑School Night, Student Culture Events, Report Card Days/Nights, Enrollment Events, Family Nights, School Picture Day, and student health initiatives. Provide translation support for parent meetings, phone calls, and conferences. What You’ll Bring to the Team Strong commitment to PAVE’s mission and vision. Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Strong digital literacy: Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, social media platforms, and graphic design platforms. Flexibility of schedule for meetings and events, including evenings and weekends. Spanish language skills are strongly preferred. Experience with event planning and execution, including logistics communication. Entrepreneurial spirit with ability to establish protocols and execute concurrent projects. Strong judgment and decision‑making ability. High degree of patience and grit to overcome challenges. Strong academic background; Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.
