System Integration Engineer Lead

Residency & Travel Requirements Residency in Texas is REQUIRED Flexibility for quarterly onsite travel Job Summary The Systems Integration Engineer - Lead is an information technology professional who provides programming and technical development of integrated solutions and delivers high-quality interoperability solutions that support the organization’s current and future clinical and business operations by developing, innovating, testing, maintaining, installing and debugging integration/interface solutions, middleware tools, and related technologies. He/she/they are responsible for integration among Epic Bridges, an interface engine (Corepoint), automated managed file transfer (GoAnywhere MFT) software, and other tools as needed. Interfaces include but are not limited to: laboratory, radiology, immunization registry, billing, pharmacy, dental, HIEs, and our Health Plan. This role requires strong technical ability. Key Responsibilities Analyze and design system specifications Modify system build Data mapping Establish interfaces Develop and modify code, functions, programs, and routines Resolve and elevate integration issues Provide consulting services to application teams, vendors, and/or customers regarding how to integrate information technologies into clinical and business processes Design and evaluate new data interchange formats Improve physical design Document data policy, standards, and procedures Skills Sets Interface administration Web services (REST/SOAP)

HL7, FHIR, CCDA, XML, EDI, FTP, TCP/IP, API

Microsoft SQL et al. to accomplish these goals Education & Experience BA/BS degree is required Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Health Care environment preferred Minimum 5 years’ experience developing, maintaining, troubleshooting and debugging interface build using Corepoint interface engine (preferred) or alternate interface engine At least 5 years’ experience developing, maintaining, troubleshooting and debugging Epic Bridges interfaces Expert knowledge in two or more integration/interoperability areas, such as HL7, XML, X12, FTP, TCP/IP, API, web calls, managed file transfer, Epic CareEverywhere, Epic Interconnect, MS SQL Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Epic certification(s) required within 6 months from date of hire, allowing for two test retakes Other industry relevant certification(s) a plus Knowledge and Experience Analyze and design complex and multi-service business and clinical technical healthcare systems Understanding of at least 1 but preferably multiple clinical or business areas to include: Beaker (lab), Willow [Amb] (pharmacy), Healthy Planet/Tapestry (health plan), ERP, OnBase, Patient Access, Ambulatory, Inpatient, Epic Security, Data Courier, Immunization Administration Ability to create, discuss, and present systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly language Excellent interpersonal, listening, written and oral communication skills Exercise independent judgment and take action Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills Experience working in a cross-functional, collaborative environment Disclaimer This job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the position and the general nature and level of work performed by job holders within this job.
