Position Summary Performance Tester – Phoenix, AZ (Onsite) Long Term Contract – $50/hr on C2C Responsibilities Design and execute performance, load, stress, soak, and scalability tests. Analyze application behavior under peak and normal usage conditions. Identify performance bottlenecks in application, database, infrastructure, and network layers. Create test plans, test scenarios, scripts, and performance reports. Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and product teams to resolve performance issues. Monitor system metrics such as response time, CPU, memory, throughput, and error rates. Recommend tuning, optimization, and capacity‑planning improvements. Maintain performance testing tools, frameworks, and environments. Support performance testing in CI/CD pipelines where applicable. Validate fixes and retest after performance improvements. Qualifications Experience in performance testing and analysis. Strong understanding of load, stress, endurance, spike, and volume testing. Knowledge of web applications, APIs, databases, and distributed systems. Experience with tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, Neoload, or similar. Ability to read and interpret logs, metrics, and monitoring dashboards. Familiarity with SQL, scripting, and basic programming concepts. Understanding of response times, concurrency, latency, and throughput. Good problem‑solving, communication, and documentation skills. Adaptability and flexibility. Aptitude for technology, curiosity, passion, and startup mindset. Applied statistics skills: distributions, statistical testing, regression analysis. Innovative thinking.
