Staff types include day shift labor nurse, nursery nurse, OB tech, secretary, leadership, and educator. Night shift staff consists of labor nurses, nursery nurses, OB techs, and secretaries. Patient ratios are typically 1:1 for labor, 5-6:1 for postpartum care, and 5-6:1 for nursery care. Common procedures performed include vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and care for antepartum patients. All nurses are required to wear navy blue scrubs and have a designated system for infant security. Every third weekend requires on-call duty with 12-hour shifts included in the 4-week schedule.
