Customer Service Specialist

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Hourly Pay: Starting at $25/hr
Location: Statesville, NC
Job Type: Temp to Hire

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Specialist to join a fast-paced administrative environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer service, order management, logistics, and organizational skills who enjoys working directly with customers and supporting day-to-day business operations.

Job Duties:

• Manage customer orders throughout the full order lifecycle, including sales orders, status updates, fulfillment, invoicing, and account inquiries.
• Assist with inventory management of imported finished goods.
• Coordinate shipments and work closely with the Logistics team to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and provide timely, professional communication.
• Assist with purchase orders, sales orders, shipping, invoicing, and past-due account inquiries.
• Maintain accurate customer, inventory, and order information.
• Complete weekly reports and other assignments as requested.
• Greet and assist visitors, customers, and applicants.
• Assist with planning and coordinating company events.
• Prepare FedEx and UPS packages as needed.
• Order and maintain office and breakroom supplies.
• Assist with filing, data entry, and other general administrative responsibilities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or 1-2 years of related experience/training ; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
• Previous customer service, order processing, logistics, inventory, or administrative experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with limited supervision.
• Comfortable working with numbers, percentages, rates, and basic business calculations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new computer programs.
• Experience with Priority, SPS, or similar order/inventory systems is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and strong customer service skills.

Environment:

• Professional office/administrative environment.
• Primarily seated position with regular computer and telephone use.
• Occasional standing, walking, and lifting of lighter items may be required.
