Job Overview

As a Kitchen Team Member at Manuel’s Mexican Restaurant, you’ll be part of the team responsible for preparing fresh, consistent, high-quality food for our guests. Our kitchen operates as a team, so Kitchen Team Members are cross-trained and expected to help wherever needed.
Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to Manuel’s recipes, portions, and quality standards.
• Work different kitchen stations, including the grill/plancha, fryer, prep, and assembly areas.
• Read and prepare orders accurately and efficiently.
• Complete food preparation before and during shifts.
• Maintain proper food temperatures and follow food-safety procedures.
• Keep your station clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Assist other Kitchen Team Members during busy periods.
• Help with cleaning, dishes, trash, and other kitchen duties when needed.
• Properly store, label, rotate, and handle ingredients.
• Complete opening, shift-change, and closing responsibilities.
• Communicate with the Kitchen Lead and other team members.
• Follow all Manuel’s Mexican Restaurant policies and procedures.

• Willing to work multiple kitchen stations and responsibilities.
• Restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and busy periods is preferred.

At Manuel’s, there is no “that’s not my station” mentality. We work together. When your station is caught up, you help another team member, restock, prep, or clean so the entire kitchen succeeds.
Starting Pay: $13–$15/hour, based on experience and skills.
