Vice President Operations

Persistent Recruiting Solutions is representing a growing aerospace manufacturing organization seeking a Vice President of Operations to join its executive leadership team. This executive leadership position oversees operations across four business verticals—Airframe, Engine Accessories, Landing Gear, and Distribution—and plays a critical role in driving operational excellence, supporting future acquisitions, and executing the company's long-term growth strategy. The ideal candidate is a strategic, results-oriented operations executive with a proven track record of leading multi-site aerospace manufacturing organizations. Position Summary The Vice President of Operations provides executive leadership for all manufacturing, quality, supply chain, EH&S, and continuous improvement activities across multiple operating businesses. Reporting directly to the President, this role is responsible for developing and executing enterprise-wide operational strategies that improve performance, strengthen customer satisfaction, and support continued organic growth and future acquisitions. As a key member of the executive leadership team, this individual will build high-performing teams while driving a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. What You’ll Do Develop and execute enterprise-wide operations strategy across Airframe, Engine Accessories, Landing Gear, and Distribution businesses Provide executive leadership for manufacturing, quality, supply chain, EH&S, and continuous improvement across multiple operating sites Own operational budgets, CAPEX planning, and cost optimization initiatives while connecting operational performance to overall financial results Establish and drive KPIs focused on safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, and profitability Lead long-range capacity planning, facility optimization, and capital investment strategies Drive manufacturing performance by improving On-Time Delivery, Turnaround Time, Fill Rate, Scrap, Rework, Productivity, and other operational metrics Champion Lean manufacturing initiatives including Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, and Root Cause Analysis Evaluate and implement automation, cellular manufacturing, and advanced manufacturing technologies Lead quality management systems supporting AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA compliance, and customer audit readiness Direct procurement, inventory management, supplier performance, logistics, and material flow across the organization Foster a world-class safety culture focused on zero incidents and OSHA compliance Build, mentor, and develop high-performing operations leadership teams across multiple facilities Partner closely with Engineering, Sales, Finance, and executive leadership to achieve strategic business objectives Present operational performance, strategic initiatives, and business results to executive leadership What Sets You Apart Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Business, or a related discipline MBA or Master’s degree preferred 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a Vice President or Director-level leadership role Aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing experience required; PMA experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, AS9100, ISO 9001, and aerospace quality management systems Proven success leading multi-site, multi-product-line manufacturing organizations Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L performance, budgets, capital planning, and operational investments Demonstrated expertise implementing Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives Lead cross-functional teams in the consolidation of multiple manufacturing plants, including equipment relocation and workforce integration Experience leading high-mix, low-volume manufacturing and aftermarket operations Strong executive presence with the ability to influence, communicate, and build consensus across all levels of the organization Experience supporting acquisitions, business integrations, or organizational growth initiatives is highly desirable Why This Role Executive leadership opportunity with a growing aerospace manufacturing organization Lead operations across four diverse aerospace business verticals with responsibility for multiple manufacturing sites Direct influence on enterprise strategy, operational performance, and long-term business growth Opportunity to shape manufacturing strategy while supporting future acquisitions and business integrations Highly visible role partnering directly with the President and executive leadership team Lead a culture focused on operational excellence, continuous improvement, and employee development Join an organization committed to investing in its people while driving innovation and operational excellence Organization has a strong commitment to promoting from within (Presidential opportunities) Compensation with stock options and bonus is up to 500K plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr Persistent Recruiting Solutions | PRS
