Join our dynamic team where your analytical expertise will maximize product portfolio value and profitability.Job ScopeThe Associate Product Manager is responsible for maximizing the value and profitability of Victaulic's mechanical product lines throughout their lifecycle—from launch support through maturity and end-of-life management. This role is technical at its core: you will work closely with engineers, understand how our products perform in the field, and apply that knowledge to drive portfolio decisions. The Associate Product Manager will analyze product performance, drive optimization initiatives, and manage portfolio rationalization efforts to ensure our product lines remain competitive and profitable. This role combines engineering insight with strategic thinking, offering hands-on experience across a global industrial product portfolio.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Line Portfolio ManagementAnalyze Product Line Profitability across the portfolio using financial modeling and market analysis to identify improvement opportunities and underperforming productsLead Product Line Optimization initiatives to enhance product performance, add features and/or sizes, extensions of offering with catalog prefabrications, improve margins, or expand market applications based on market feedback and financial analysisExecute Product Line Consolidation projects to streamline offerings, reduce SKU complexity, improve operational efficiency, managing customer communications and product transitionsSupport On-going Product Commercialization activities with marketing and sales teams including product impact videos, trade shows, and trainingManage Product Line Obsolescence programs for mature or declining products, ensuring smooth customer transitions, inventory management, last-time-buy programs, and alternative product recommendationsNew Product Launch SupportAssist with market analysis and market research for business case development.Coordinate Alpha/Beta Testing programs by managing test site logistics, collecting customer feedback, and documenting performance dataAssist on major product development initiatives, providing analytical support, developing commercialization strategies, pricing evaluations and coordinating cross-functional activitiesDevelop and deliver Training materials and programs for internal teams and external stakeholders on product features, benefits, and competitive positioningPost-Launch Performance ManagementConduct comprehensive Post 12 Month Launch reviews analyzing sales, margins, market share, customer satisfaction, and competitive response to assess product successMonitor individual Product Profitability using data analytics to track margins, identify cost drivers, and recommend pricing or cost adjustmentsQualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Finance, Sales or related field3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environment; experience in project management, product management, or technical sales a plusStrong analytical capabilities with advanced Excel proficiency including financial modeling and data analysisSolid understanding of product development processes and cross-functional collaborationAbility to evaluate product and program performance using financial and field data, including margin analysis and cost driversExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated project coordination experience managing multiple concurrent initiativesProven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teamsStrategic Influence and Communication - Develops clear and specific rationales tailored to different internal groups and external customers.
