Wound Care Physician Assistant (PA)
Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Overview:
Our skilled nursing facility partners in the Pittsburgh area are seeking a Wound Care Physician Assistant for a part-time role. This role offers a focused, specialized opportunity with a Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday schedule.

Position Offers:

• Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday rounding
• Part-time, 1099 contract position
• Competitive pay: $65 $75/hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive wound assessments, including etiology identification, staging, and risk stratification
• Develop and implement individualized wound treatment plans, including dressing selection, debridement, and adjunctive therapies
• Manage wound-related infections through timely recognition and collaboration with prescribing providers
• Lead pressure injury prevention initiatives, including risk assessment and staff education
• Provide specialized management for diabetic foot ulcers, including offloading and vascular coordination
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, and dietitians
• Document assessments and care plans in the EHR to support quality improvement
• Educate patients and caregivers on wound self-care, dressing changes, and infection prevention

Qualifications:

• Active Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in Pennsylvania
• Proven clinical experience in wound care management within post-acute or long-term care settings
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred
• Formal wound care certification preferred
