Cardiothoracic ICU APP | 12-Hour Shifts | Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Join an established cardiothoracic ICU team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, providing advanced inpatient care alongside cardiac surgeons and experienced critical care specialists. This opportunity offers a predictable shift-based schedule, strong physician support, and the chance to develop advanced CTICU skills within a collaborative environment.

Position Highlights

• Join an established cardiothoracic surgery and CTICU APP team expanding to provide 24/7 unit coverage
• Inpatient-focused role including rounding, ICU management, and coordination of care with surgeons and consulting specialists
• Collaborate closely with on-site cardiac surgeons, experienced ICU nurses, and consulting specialty teams
• Opportunity to perform advanced procedures with ECMO experience preferred; training available
• Rotating 12-hour day and night shifts across a Monday-Sunday schedule
• Structured rotation averaging approximately 18 shifts every 8 weeks with built-in time off
• No call responsibilities
• Typical patient census of fewer than six patients

Candidate Requirements

• Certified Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with current certification and prescriptive authority
• High level of acute care experience required; Cardiac ICU experience strongly preferred
• Interest in developing advanced cardiothoracic critical care skills, including ECMO

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary of $120,000-$140,000 based on experience
• Sign-on bonus available
