• Position: Critical Care Nurse Practitioner – Locum Tenens
• Location: Pittsburgh, PA 15212
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (6:00 PM–6:00 AM)
• Minimum Commitment: 5–7 shifts per month
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $4,620–$4,950
• Duration: 4 weeks
• Start Date: November 1, 2026
• Call: No call required
• Setting: Open ICU / high-acuity critical care
• Orientation: Online EPIC training completed at least 48 hours prior to start; 4 hours total

Job Requirements

• Active Nurse Practitioner license required; no licensure candidates at this time
• At least 1 year of critical care, ICU, or acute care experience required
• Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner required
• Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and active DEA registration required
• Comfort working independently on night shift in a high-acuity ICU environment
• EPIC experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced practice care for critically ill patients in an ICU setting
• Perform and manage arterial lines, central lines, consults, and codes
• Support a patient volume of approximately 10–17 patients per shift
• Work collaboratively with physicians, residents, and the care team to ensure safe, efficient patient care
• Document and manage patient care using EPIC
• Maintain readiness for independent overnight coverage and respond to high-acuity needs as they arise
