Accounting Analyst

Meador an Openwork Company is currently engaged in a search to find a Direct Hire ACCOUNTING ANALYST for a company located in the Kemah area. The Accounting Analyst role will maintain financial records, prepare journal entries and financial reports, reconciling accounts, supporting the annual audit process, and monitoring grant compliance. As the Accounting Analyst , you’ll be responsible for :Maintain the general ledger, prepare journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, and month-end close activities .Prepare financial reports, analyze account activity, research discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions to ensure accurate reporting .Reconcile bank accounts, trial balances, capital assets, and other assigned accounts while maintaining strong internal financial controls .Assist with budget preparation, monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide financial analysis to support operational decisions .Administer grant funding by monitoring expenditures, maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations, preparing reimbursements, and submitting required financial reports .Support annual internal and external audits by preparing workpapers, audit schedules, SEFA/SESA reports, PBC documentation, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards .Maintain accurate financial records, verify supporting documentation, and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies .Participate in departmental initiatives, process improvement efforts, and special projects while providing financial support to internal departments as needed What you’ll nee ed5+ years of accounting experience - REQUIR EDAdvanced Excel knowledge – REQUIR ED Schedu le:Fully in off $70K to be considered for this Accounting Analyst job located in the Kemah area. #J-18808-Ljbffr
