We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pediatric Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and administrative support, ensuring that our clinic operates smoothly and efficiently. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings, while also supporting the medical staff with essential administrative tasks.
Duties
- Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist with patient examinations and procedures in both clinic and inpatient environments.
- VAXCARE Experience is a MUST!
- Provide emergency medicine support when necessary, ensuring patient safety at all times.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with medical coding as required.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and answering questions.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Conduct routine laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization within the clinic environment to promote a safe space for patients. Experience
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required.
- Previous experience in outpatient or inpatient settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of physiology and medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and staff alike.
- Familiar with VFC (Delaware immunization) a MUST
