We are growing rapidly and looking for high performers at every level to grow with us.POSITION SUMMARY:Under the supervision of the Facility Manager the Facility Maintenance Supervisor works in all areas of maintenance operations of the venue, especially athletic fields. This position will generally involve the performance of manual tasks requiring skilled and semi-skilled work or special knowledge acquired through on-the-job training or experience. The Facility Maintenance Supervisor will supervise and assist co-workers in completing various tasks and day-to-day maintenance duties as required.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:Support in the hiring process, training, scheduling, etc. part-time Facility Maintenance Team MembersAssign, oversee, and assist staff in the completion of maintenance tasksMonitor inventory and order suppliesProvide knowledgeable service to guests through awareness of the guests, community, trends, and facility offeringsResponsible for opening/closing facilityRecord all incidents through daily rounds during league play as Manager on Duty ("MOD") to ensure a safe facility and maintain OSHA and ADA complianceMow, trim, edge, sod, aerate and irrigate athletic fields and general ground areas of the park using many differences pieces of grounds maintenance equipmentOperate, maintain, and repair irrigation systemAssist Facility Manager with all pesticide applicationsAssist Facility Manager with updating Maintenance CareAssist with maintaining synthetic surfaces. Ex. grooming, dragging, patch/plate repairsLayout and paint soccer and football field, as well as set up fencing and mounds on the baseball/softball fieldsPrepare all playing surfaces to meet the unique needs of each tournament groupLead staff during weekend tournaments and eventsAssist in the completion of needed renovation projects on all aspects of athletic fieldComplete special projects and daily assignments as directed by managementMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Associate degree in turf management, related field or equivalent experience is preferredKnowledge/experience maintaining natural grass and synthetic surfacesKnowledge of irrigation repairs and maintenance is a plusCan calibrate and operate a turf spray rig for liquid chemical applicationsCan calibrate and operate a walk spreader for fertilizer applicationsAvailable and willing to work long hours and varying shifts including nights, weekends, and holidaysAbility to follow and give written and oral instructionsAbility to promote a positive self-image and lead by exampleWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist highMay be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend into awkward positions while performing job functionsFacility has intermittent noise
