Production Team Member – Jamaican Patty Shop

Position: Production Team Member

Department: Kitchen / Food Production

Employment Type: Full-Time

We are looking for dependable Production Team Members to help prepare, portion, package, and organize Jamaican patties and other food products. This is a hands-on kitchen position that requires working efficiently, following food-safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organized production area.

• Prepare and assemble Jamaican patties and other food products.
• Assist with meat preparation and cutting , including trimming, portioning, and seasoning.
• Prepare fillings according to established recipes and portion requirements.
• Assist with dough preparation and patty assembly as needed.
• Operate basic kitchen and food-production equipment safely.
• Package, label, and organize finished products for storage or distribution.
• Check products for quality, proper portions, appearance, and packaging.
• Help load, move, and organize ingredients and finished products.
• Keep workstations, equipment, floors, and storage areas clean and sanitary.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures.
• Assist other production areas when needed.
• Perform additional kitchen and production duties as assigned.

Employees may be assigned to different areas based on experience and production needs, including:

Meat Preparation

• Cutting and trimming meat
• Portioning ingredients
• Seasoning and preparing fillings
• Maintaining proper sanitation during meat handling

Kitchen / Food Preparation

• Preparing fillings and ingredients
• Mixing and preparing dough
• Assisting with cooking and production
• Keeping the kitchen organized and clean

Packaging

• Packaging finished patties
• Labeling and dating products
• Counting and organizing orders
• Preparing products for storage, delivery, or sale

General Production

• Moving ingredients and supplies
• Cleaning equipment and work areas
• Restocking production stations
• Supporting other team members during busy production periods

• Previous kitchen, food-service, meat-processing, or production experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move boxes, ingredients, and supplies.
• Able to follow recipes, instructions, and food-safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced food-production environment.
• Willingness to learn different production tasks.
