Description

American Traveler is hiring an LPN for an outpatient clinic setting requiring 2 years of experience and BLS certification, with rotating weekend and holiday coverage.

Details

• Walk-in clinic setting within an outpatient/clinic unit type
• Days shift schedule with hours varying between 8AM-9PM on weekdays and 8AM-6PM on weekends
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Uses Epic EMR system
• May float between multiple clinic locations as needed, including walk-in clinics, family practice, and internal medicine departments
• Works under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician

Requirements

• Current unencumbered ND State Nursing Board license and/or multi-state licensure privileges required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of LPN experience preferred
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Must obtain and maintain department-specific competencies and certifications

Additional Information

• Ensures the health, comfort, and safety of patients
• Documents thorough medical history and contributes to patient assessments
• Administers medications and treatments as ordered
• Provides technical support to healthcare professionals as needed
• Counsels patients and family members on prevention and treatment plans under RN direction
• Practices within full scope of nursing expertise using age and population specific standards
• Attends Sanford's orientation program designed for contract staff
• Receives orientation and training at home base clinic as well as shorter orientation for float clinics
• Blue scrubs required per facility policy
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Candidates with a permanent address within 80 miles of the facility are not accepted for this position
