Interventional Radiology (IR) RN – Registered Nurse Location: Springfield, IL (On-site) Schedule: Day Shift, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (5x8s) On-Call: Required | Floating: Required Pay: $45-$55/hr Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology RN (IR RN) to support a hospital-based Medical Imaging department in Springfield, IL. In this Interventional Radiology Nurse role, you will provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure nursing care, support interventional procedures, and ensure accurate clinical documentation. This opportunity is best suited for an IR Registered Nurse who is comfortable with a procedural environment, can respond to patient condition changes quickly, and is flexible with on-call and floating requirements. Key Responsibilities Deliver patient care for Interventional Radiology procedures in a hospital setting Perform pre-procedure assessments, patient prep, and ongoing monitoring Assist physicians and imaging teams during procedures while adhering to safety and sterile practices Monitor and assess patients post-procedure, recognizing complications and escalating as needed Provide patient education, discharge support, and care coordination as appropriate Maintain accurate documentation and charting in Cerner EMR Participate in required on-call rotation and float based on operational needs Follow all safety, infection prevention, and quality standards Requirements Active Illinois RN license (required) Current RN credential (required) Recent Interventional Radiology RN / IR Nurse experience (required) Ability to work the posted day shift and meet call/float requirements Cerner experience preferred Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only) Apply Now If you’re an IR RN looking for a day-shift contract assignment in Springfield, IL, apply today for immediate consideration. *
