Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant The primary responsibilities for our Staff Accountant role will include daily and monthly accounting for multiple departments rolling up to Merchants Capital (Multifamily Lending). A successful candidate will be able to account for daily activity, reconcile bank and other ledger accounts, understand accounting relationships within the various areas of the company, research issues as they arise, and communicate effectively with other team members and with resources in other departments. Additionally, the candidate should be able to provide insight to process improvement and control deficiencies as applicable to job duties assigned. Our Staff Accountants can do the following confidently and independently... Day to day and month-end journal entries Daily balancing Monthly account reconciliation Provide support for other team members as necessary Some overtime should be expected during month and quarter close Requirements We are looking for... Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or related field Relevant work experience in banking, real estate, or tax credit equity is preferred 0-3 years of prior accounting experience Microsoft Suite prior use of and strength in excel in particular Flexibility, Professionalism, and Attention to Detail are all critical qualities #J-18808-Ljbffr Merchants Bancorp
