Pennsylvania Autism Services, LLC is currently seeking Unlicensed and Licensed Behavioral Specialists to work as 1099 Independent Contractors in the Intensive Behavioral Health program and ABA program with autistic children and emotional support children in Delaware County in the areas of Lansdowne, Yeadon, Sharon Hill, Folcroft, Upper Darby, Darby, Chester, Collingdale, Brookhaven, and Clifton Heights.

Position Summary: Under the direction of the Clinical Director, the Behavior Specialist is responsible for developing the behavioral treatment plan, including an FBA, in conjunction with the child’s treatment team. The Behavior Specialist also serves as a consultant to the family, school, and any other agency involved in the child's behavioral treatment. In addition, the Behavioral Specialist directly monitors any BHTs who are providing interventions with the child.

Summary of Essential Position Functions:

• Collaborates with treatment team, including teacher and parent, to design and direct the implementation of a behavioral intervention plan.
• Applies clinical skills in observation of the child in the home, school, and community as part of an assessment in preparation for designing the treatment plan.
• Collects data on the behaviors that are addressed by the treatment Plan and provides observations and data back to the treatment plan.
• Appropriately uses behavioral interventions, emotional support, and other treatment interventions to achieve approved treatment goals and objectives.
• Completes detailed written progress notes of each IBHS service session. Ensures accurate and timely encounter forms. Completes monthly BHT Case Consultation forms for all clients.
• Regularly and actively participates in quality assurance meetings with the BCBA.
• Provides evidence of annual outside trainings, including the PA Mandated Reporter training and CPR/First Aid.
• Maintains current credentials including Child Abuse, Criminal, and FBI clearances.

Qualifications:

• This position requires individuals with strong interpersonal and communication skills, problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and a team-oriented approach.

Individuals who provide individual services through behavior consultation services must meet one of the following:

• Be licensed in this Commonwealth as a Behavior Specialist and have documented 2 years of experience writing FBAs, Assessments, Treatment plans, and BHT data sheets.
• Have a certification as a BCBA or other graduate-level certification in behavior analysis that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute.
• Have a graduate degree in ABA from a college or university.
• Have a minimum of 2 year of full-time experience in providing mental health direct services to children, youth or young adults and a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, or counseling.
• Completed a clinical or mental health direct service practicum and have a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, counseling or a related field from a college or university.
• Individuals who provide behavior consultation services to children diagnosed with ASD for the treatment of ASD shall be licensed in this Commonwealth as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, social worker, behavior specialist, certified registered nurse practitioner or a professional with a scope of practice that includes overseeing the provision of ABA services.
• Location: Delaware County areas include Folcroft, Upper Darby, Darby, Collingdale, Clifton Heights, Yeadon, Sharon Hill, Lansdowne, and Chester.

Job Type: Independent Contractor

Pay: $60-65 per hour, Licensed Behavioral Specialist & Unlicensed $50 to $55 per hour.
