Exciting Opportunity for a Cardiovascular OR RN Job Description: - Duration: 16-26 weeks - Rates: Tiered based on mileage: - Travel: 101 miles - Radius: 51-100 miles - Local: 50 miles or less - Positioning: - CVOR RN: - 4 shifts of 10 hours (0645-1715) - 3 shifts of 12 hours (0645-1915) - Call Responsibilities: - One or two 12-hour weekday calls (1900-0715) - Typically only one call during the week unless short-staffed - One full weekend of call every 5 weeks - Holiday Coverage: - Must work 2 out of the 4 holidays: - Thanksgiving - Christmas - Christmas Eve - New Year's Day Requirements: - BLS required; CNOR preferred - Prior travel experience required - General experience needed - Must have experience in large (500 beds), academic, teaching hospitals - Minimum of 2 years of OR RN experience with recent high competency in cardiovascular/open heart OR - May float to other OR suites (general, ortho, neuro, ENT, etc.); if floated, will be circulating but not required to scrub - Epic experience within the past 2 years is mandatory and nonnegotiable Additional Information: - IVS to OFFER - Shift: Monday to Sunday - No block schedules for any reason - Bi-weekly orientations on Monday - All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained - Complete work history information required (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) Transportation Note: - Public transportation is NOT accessible in this area. Reliable transportation is essential (personal or rental vehicle recommended). - Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November – April.
