Financial Crime Review Analyst

Responsibilities Review and investigate alerts, conduct investigations, or perform enhanced due diligence reviews for potentially suspicious activity; make risk-based SAR recommendations and prepare SARs. Conduct periodic holistic reviews of higher-risk individuals or entities. Investigate potential matches with sanctions lists. Maintain solid working knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC, and sanctions screening requirements. Assist in delivering financial crime consulting services to financial services clients such as banks, money service businesses, third‑party payment providers, and FinTech companies. Support Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) and/or Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews for higher-risk customers and sanctions screening. Perform other duties as assigned. The role requires minimal or no travel. Qualifications High school diploma; at least 1 year of experience in financial services, financial‑crime compliance management, retail or commercial banking, or global diversified financial services organizations. Knowledge of the BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC, and Suspicious Activity Reporting requirements. Strong writing, analytical, communication, research, and Microsoft Office skills. Familiarity with client and transactional monitoring processes. Detail‑oriented, able to multitask, and quickly adapt to changing assignments. Ability to work autonomously and collaborate with teams across different locations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage all levels of the organization. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and strategic thinking capabilities; integrity and professionalism. Preferred qualifications: associate’s or bachelor’s degree; CAMS or other relevant financial‑crime certifications; experience with AML software solutions (Actimize, Verafin, Fiserv, etc.); prior financial‑crime consulting experience; bilingual Spanish.
