Job Description

The Mechanic plays a key role in keeping high-speed, paper-based packaging production lines running safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. This position focuses on troubleshooting and repairing machinery, managing product changeovers, performing routine maintenance, and supporting overall production quality in a large manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot machine issues and perform repairs on production equipment, including unjamming lines, rethreading lines, and replacing worn or broken components such as drive belts and bearings.
• Manage product changeovers to minimize downtime, including changing paper sizes and adjusting multiple areas of the manufacturing line to accommodate different products.
• Perform general maintenance on machines and other production equipment to ensure reliable and safe operation.
• Perform other duties consistent with the nature of the job or as assigned by supervision to support production and maintenance needs.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude with a strong interest in working with tools and machinery, ideally with 3+ years of experience in a mechanical or maintenance-focused role.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing machinery, particularly in environments with large-scale automation such as assembly lines and conveyor systems.
• Understanding of how drive motors, belt and pulley systems, free-spinning and motor-driven rolls, and roll bearings function, including the ability to replace bearings as needed.
• Comfort working in a large manufacturing environment with high-speed production equipment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Clinton, PA.

The pay range for this position is $53040.00 - $53040.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
