Your Role As a Senior Manager of Member Engagement and Growth Strategy, you will play a crucial role in evolving Firefly's engagement engine from manual efforts to a sophisticated, automated growth and engagement ecosystem. You will be responsible for setting the roadmap for how communications drive member acquisition, engagement, and retention. This role is vital to nurturing customer relationships, enhancing brand loyalty, and maximizing revenue within a B2B2C business model through effective marketing strategies. We are looking for a strategic thinker who works at the intersection of data-driven performance, product integration, and marketing engagement tactics. Your responsibilities will go beyond managing email; you'll design the entire member communication journey. The ideal candidate will combine creative intuition to develop compelling content with the analytical skills to determine which levers (timing, channel, incentive) will prompt desired outcomes, whether that is a clinical appointment or an Open Enrollment signup. This role demands the ability to serve as a strategic advisor to clients while also executing technical Braze workflows and managing complex fulfillment logistics. Design email campaigns: Develop advanced segmentation and trigger-based flows within our email platform (e.g., high-risk member outreach, transactional/operational messaging). Forecast & analyze: Lead the methodology for enrollment forecasting, developing initial projections and tracking performance against those benchmarks. Client engagement: Steer marketing strategy in client meetings, collaborate with the Client Success team on engagement strategies, and actively attend meetings. Connect Product & Communications: Work with Product and Data teams to incorporate clinical risk stratification and app-based interactions into marketing triggers, ensuring timely communications to the right members. Lead Open Enrollment strategy: Oversee the comprehensive strategy for Open Enrollment, coordinating employer on-site events, attending these events, and creating both digital and print materials. Demonstrate ROI: Develop an attribution framework to measure how member marketing impacts Firefly’s core clinical and financial KPIs. You'd be a good fit if: Braze expert: You have a proven history of leveraging Braze (or similar tools) to drive measurable conversions and retention. Resourceful and strategic: You possess the startup spirit for hands‑on work while maintaining an executive presence in presentations to leadership or clients. Data‑driven: Proficient in Looker/Excel, comfortable pulling lists and conducting A/B test analysis. Healthcare knowledgeable: You understand the nuances of the healthcare landscape, including PHI, Open Enrollment cycles, and the unique challenges related to member engagement. It'd be great if you also had: Content direction experience: You can effectively communicate a vision to create digital and print assets that resonate. Messaging expertise: You have the ability to explore the product deeply, understand value propositions, and craft compelling, validated messaging. The salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $160,000 per year, and includes a comprehensive benefits package, which features health insurance, a 401k plan, and a bonus. Our office is located in Watertown, Massachusetts, but we support a flexible remote work structure, allowing us to recruit from diverse geographical locations. While this role can primarily be performed remotely, there are occasions throughout the year when staff will gather onsite for planning and team‑building.
