For our Wire Rope division, we are searching for an Application Engineer to be based in our recently established Final Assembly Location in Houston (TX). X). GENERAL DESCRIPT ION:As a Site (Application) Engineer, you will be responsible for the business area of our Wire ropes for applications in the Construction & Industrial, Mining, and Cableways segme nts.You will provide premium technical support (on-site and remotely) to OEMs, end-users, and partners for proper selection, handling, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our ropes and accessor ies. You will demonstrate your organizational talent in coordinating and prioritizing several simultaneous projects. Smart and creative consulting for clients is part of what you do to reduce their downtime and/or improve their satisfaction. With communication skills, you lead new product introductions and customer sup upport. RESPONSIBI LITIES:Perform technical support according to the instructions of the Application Technology (He ad of).Perform diagnostic and preventive investigation activities on our pr oducts.Assess the condition of the applications in advance of our product installation, reporting any condition that may influence perfo rmance.Support the Sales team with technical expertise during commercial visits to cus tomers.Coordinate with multiple teams including R&D, Sales, Quality, Oper ations.Communicate with sales and/or customers to ensure their technical needs are bei ng met.Assist customers in selecting the right rope for demanding applications and help them find solutions to specific pr oblems.Interact with quality, sales, and/or customers with product quality issues to find the best solution moving f orward.Provide support to the Assembly team by resolving technical issues related to the product, assembly process, and t ooling. REQUI a plus.Knowledge of steel wire ropes, their applications, and industry st andards.Strong technical skills: able to present technical concepts; provide customers with hands‑on techniques using our products; provide customers with technical training on our p roducts.Self‑starter: motivated, team‑focused, and results -driven.Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.Familiar with best manufacturing and assembly practices/tec hniques.Strong Product technology, change management, problem-solving, communication skills, customer orientation, personal effectiveness, team skills, and quality.Knowledge of CAD & SA P tools.Requires additional knowledge of systems and software necessary, such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and #J-18808-Ljbffr Teufelberger-Redaelli
