Full-time. Core hours roughly 8–4 Central to match school schedules, with flexibility outside that.

JOB SUMMARY

As an EdTech Business Development Outreach Specialist, you will play a key role in expanding our education-focused client base by conducting cold outreach via phone, email, and attending industry specific trade shows. You will also prospect for new clients within education networks and associations. Your primary focus will be on contacting prospects, initiating conversations, and scheduling qualified appointments for our Account Executive Team. This is a remote position ideal for someone with strong communication skills, a results-oriented mindset, and the persistence to stay engaged throughout the sales cycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Perform cold calling and email outreach to prospective clients, using scripts and lead lists to introduce services.

•    Prospect for new clients within education networks and associations to build a pipeline of qualified leads.

•    Represent MentisSoft at industry specific trade shows, engaging attendees and booking follow-up meetings.

•    Qualify leads based on predefined criteria to ensure high-quality appointments.

•    Schedule and coordinate meetings between prospects and the Account Executive Team, managing follow-ups as needed.

•    Track outreach activities, responses, and outcomes in PipeDrive CRM system to measure performance and optimize strategies.

•    Collaborate with the sales and leadership team to refine outreach approaches and share insights on lead generation trends.

•    Meet or exceed weekly/monthly targets for calls, emails, and appointments set.

QUALIFICATIONS

•    Proven experience in business development, sales outreach, cold calling, or appointment setting (2+ years preferred).

•    K-12 or EdTech experience strongly preferred.

•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage prospects confidently and professionally.

•    Familiarity with CRM tools and email automation platforms.

•    Self-motivated and disciplined, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

•    Comfortable with high-volume outreach and handling objections or rejections.

•    Willingness to travel occasionally for industry trade shows and events.

•    Reliable internet connection, phone setup, and quiet workspace for calls.

•    Must be located in the contiguous United States.
