Job Title: Production Associate
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Durham, NC
Pay: $16.13/hr.
Schedule: Rotating Nights, 7:15 PM – 7:15 AM

Job Summary:
The Production Associate is responsible for inspecting, packaging, labeling, and preparing finished products for shipment while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards. This role supports efficient manufacturing operations by operating packaging equipment, performing quality checks, maintaining a clean work environment, and working collaboratively with production team members. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow all company safety rules and know how to safely stop equipment during emergencies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area around the production line.
• Calibrate and operate manual scales to verify finished product weights.
• Collect finished products from the wrapper machine according to production requirements.
• Inspect products for quality, proper materials, visual defects, and seal integrity.
• Package inspected products into designated containers according to job specifications.
• Feed packaged displays into shrink-wrap equipment following production instructions.
• Inspect shrink-wrapped products and perform rework as needed to meet quality standards.
• Weigh products to ensure proper quantities in displays or shipping boxes.
• Label finished products and load pallets according to shipping configurations.
• Assist with basic mechanical troubleshooting and notify the Operator, Line Lead, or Supervisor of equipment issues.
• Report non-conforming products or packaging materials immediately.
• Follow all quality standards, ISO requirements, standard operating procedures, work instructions, and company recycling practices.
• Observe safe work practices and promptly report or correct hazardous conditions.
• Follow all company policies, security protocols, and operational procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support production and operational needs.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 60 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently.
• Ability to stand for extended periods during scheduled shifts.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous manufacturing or production experience.
• Experience with packaging or assembly line operations.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience using intranet systems or manufacturing information systems (MIS).
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
