Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Endoscopy for a travel nursing job in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Endoscopy\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/05/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 8 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 5x8hrs\n Hours: 40 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 5, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced GI/Endoscopy RN skilled in advanced endoscopic and pulmonary procedures, requiring 2+ years of specialty experience and a compact or LA RN license.Details\n \n Endoscopy unit within an inpatient and outpatient endoscopy center setting\n Performs advanced endoscopy procedures including EUS, ERCP, and pulmonary procedures such as bronchoscopy and EBUS\n Bariatric procedures and ION Robot experience preferred\n 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with shift start times ranging between 0600-0800\n Requires on-call availability for after-hours, weekends, and holidays with a 30-minute response time\n Uses Epic charting system (preferred)\n May be assigned to an emergency response team during declared emergency events\n Requirements\n \n Active RN license, compact or LA license required in hand upon submission\n BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA certifications only)\n Minimum 2 years of experience in GI/Endoscopy specialty required\n Proficiency in administering and monitoring conscious sedation, including Propofol and Versed\n Skilled in airway management and recovery from conscious/monitored anesthesia sedation\n Experience starting and maintaining IVs\n Competency in procedures such as colonoscopy, EGD, bronchoscopy, EBUS, EUS, and ERCP\n Current NURSYS report required with profile, updated within 4 weeks of submission\n Additional Information\n \n Function independently across all areas of endoscopy, including advanced and pulmonary procedures\n Must demonstrate strong patient-first values consistent with facility mission and behave as a full-time staff member would\n Orientation held five days per week and includes required, billable modules\n Two Manager/Supervisor references required prior to start (Charge RNs not accepted)\n No call-ins permitted during the assignment\n RTO must be finalized and disclosed prior to interview to avoid offer cancellation\n Candidates must live more than 65 miles from the facility to be considered (local candidates not accepted)\n Previous permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have a full year separation from the facility before returning as a travel employee\n First-time travelers are not preferred for this position\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-752579.
