We're seeking an experienced Accountant with strong full-cycle accounting experience and knowledge of governmental accounting practices.

What You'll Do
Maintain accounting records for multiple departments and operations
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, allocations, A/R, A/P, and cash activity
Reconcile general ledger and subsidiary accounts
Review payroll, inventory, capital asset, and financial transactions for accuracy
Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with financial statements
Support internal and external audits
Ensure compliance with GASB standards, GAAP, and government regulations
Document accounting procedures and improve workflows
Respond to inquiries from staff, auditors, and external agencies

What We're Looking For:
✔ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
✔ Equivalent accounting experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis
✔ 4+ years of progressive full-cycle accounting or auditing experience
✔ Strong understanding of:

Governmental Accounting
GAAP
Accounting Cycles
Financial Reporting

✔ Public sector or public transportation experience highly preferred
✔ CPA candidate or participation in the CPA licensure process is a plus
