Human Resources Coordinator

We are committed to safety, quality, and operational excellence. We are hiring an experienced Human Resources Coordinator for our Kirksville, MO manufacturing location. Job Summary The Human Resources Coordinator supports the day-to-day execution of HR programs, processes, and administrative functions at the Kirksville manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Plant Human Resources Manager, this role works with pertinent team members in recruiting activities, coordinates onboarding, administration, employee communications, compliance documentation, training coordination, and workforce reporting. The HR Coordinator serves as a resource for employees and supervisors on routine HR matters while partnering closely with the HR Manager on more complex and confidential issues. Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions) These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation. Employee Relations & Communication Serve as a first point of contact for routine employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, attendance programs, and company procedures. Support employee engagement, recognition, communication, and wellness initiatives. Assist with employee communication and follow-up regarding HR programs and activities. Refer sensitive employee relations matters, workplace concerns, investigations, disciplinary actions, and policy violations to the Plant Human Resources Manager. Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling employee information and HR records. Support implementation of HR initiatives that promote a positive and productive work environment. HR Operations & Compliance Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity within HRIS, timekeeping, and personnel files. Coordinate documentation related to employment status changes, new hires, separations, and employee transactions. Assist the HR Manager with compliance activities, audits, and reporting requirements. Maintain records and documentation related to OSHA, EEO, FMLA, workers' compensation, and other regulatory requirements. Support the administration of HR policies and procedures while escalating complex compliance concerns to the HR Manager. Handle confidential employee information appropriately and in accordance with company policies. Recruitment & Onboarding Partner with Regional Recruiting team / Local Hiring Manager (s) to support staffing needs. Coordinate candidate scheduling, communications, and pre-employment activities. Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation processes. Maintain applicant and temporary workforce tracking records. Other (Non-Essential) Functions The duties listed are typical for this role but may be reassigned to other employees as a reasonable accommodation under the ADA. Job Requirements 4 years of HR Coordinator / Administrative experience, preferably in an industrial setting Strong knowledge of HR practices, laws, recordkeeping requirements, confidentiality standards Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Payroll, Applicant Tracking, HRIS platforms Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment Physical Requirements & Work Environment Environment is typically general office. Spend periods of time in the manufacturing setting with exposure to dust, dirt, high noise levels and variations in temperature. Must wear required PPE and maintain a safe, compliant work environment
