Project Engineer/Assistant PM

Job Description

A Simi Valley heavy civil/underground utilities contractor is looking for a highly organized, professional, driven, and energetic Office/Project Engineer/Assistant PM and a project manger to join our team for immediate hire.

Primary Responsibilities:

Review project plans, requirements, and specifications
Generate RFI’s
Prepare submittals
Review documents and prepare change orders
Understand project logistics and schedule
Research for material and issue purchase orders
Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Skills and Experience:

Experience in the construction industry (a plus)
Advanced computer skills (experience with PlanSwift or Procore, a plus)
Well organized, flexible, detail oriented, and have the ability to multi-task
Punctual and reliable
Self-motivated and able to take responsibility
Able to work to tight deadlines

Position Details :

Must be able to work primarily out of Simi Valley based office during normal business hours
Available for immediate hire
Will require travel to job sites (must provide own transportation, at times)
Looking to hire full-time a in long-term position
