Job Summary:
The Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT) position is located within a busy surgical unit that specializes in spine and joint procedures. This role involves supporting a team of healthcare professionals during complex spinal fusions, joint replacements, and other advanced surgeries. The position requires a dedicated professional capable of working in a fast-paced environment on a seasonal assignment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week, from 09/21/2026 to 12/21/2026
• Required Qualifications: Certified Operating Room Technician (OR Technician) certification, a minimum of 6 months current hospital OR technician experience, BLS provider certification, and NBSTA certification. Candidates must have experience with large spinal fusions including anterior lumbar interbody fusion (ALIF), oblique lateral interbody fusion (OLIF), direct lateral interbody fusion (DLIF), anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF), and anterior cervical disc replacement (ACDR).
• Preferred Qualifications: Spine scrub experience, joint scrub experience.
• Additional Information: The unit has three operating rooms dedicated to spine and joint surgeries, with a staffing capacity of 60 personnel, including a charge RN and a unit secretary. The team performs procedures such as spine fusions and total joint replacements, maintaining a patient-centered approach. On-call responsibilities require a 30-minute response time, and the unit emphasizes the use of advanced equipment and technology to support patient care.
